It’s birthday week at Domestic Kingdom! Hooray!
It’s been one year since we started Domestic Kingdom and we’re celebrating!
200 posts later, we’re still committed to blogging about the glorious gospel of God’s grace to us in Jesus Christ and how it impacts our everyday, mundane lives.

When I put the book “Modest” into my virtual cart at the Cruciform bookstore, I debated about adding “Organized Heart” as well. Frugality won out, and now I’m laughing at myself that I missed it!
This week we ramp up our homeschool and begin in earnest in September. I have never felt as uneasy and unprepared for a year quite like this. My supplies are not yet organized, and my heart has been in a slump about it (shame that I, the one who usually has this stuff down pat, am the one who is floundering; anxiety that I am setting out poor organizational habits for my kids; frustration that I can’t overcome this…).
Then I read your review of “Organized Heart” and I knew that my problem wasn’t the clutter on my desk, but the clutter in my heart. Too many lesser allegiances, not enough repentance and worship. So whether I win the book through this giveaway, or buy it online, I will be reading this book. Thank you for the awareness you brought to it.
