Discussing how the gospel intersects our everyday lives in the home is what this blog is about.
Although there’s usually some sort of drama going on over at our place, my everyday life is full of millions of mundane moments.
How does the fact that all of God’s promises are “yes” in Christ Jesus change how I live in my everyday mundane?
Our main goal for the articles you read here is that they would point you to worship the person of Jesus Christ as you are reminded of who he is, what he has done, what he is doing, and what he will do.
My heart knows all to well how easy it is forget these things. I need, as Jonathan Edwards prayed, for God to “stamp eternity on my eyeballs.”
This is why I’m delighted to introduce you to this new resource by the faculty at the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation.
Various CCEF faculty members have put together a year-long daily devotional that discusses the life-changing truths of the gospel and how they intersect with our daily lives.
Heart of the Matter: Daily Reflections for Changing Hearts and Lives covers a wide range of topics, many of which we interact with frequently on this blog like contentment, hope, and relationships.
Although the book is over 400 pages, the daily entries are brief yet spiritually dense. You can read each daily entry in the amount of time it takes find your coffee mug in the morning, but the gospel-rich truths are bulky enough for you to digest and process all day.
New Growth Press has given me two more copies of this book to give away to Domestic Kingdom readers. The book will likely ship in late November. Early Christmas present, perhaps?
If you’d like to win a copy of this book please leave one note in the comments. Winners will be chosen randomly and notified via email and the giveaway will be closed on Tuesday at 12noon Dubai time.
